#7 - Binge Watching(Old, New, Domestic, or Global)



       When it comes to Binge watching, I enjoy watching some of my favorite shows that often miss due to the heavy load that I am taking on this semester. The only way I would binge watch anything is solely based on if the sitcom or television show is really worth my time. These days I don't get to watch much television as it is, so if I can catch something on my phone as well as my laptop it makes it more convenient. As college students we always wired to our mobile devices, and they seem to consume most of our time, even as far as entertainment wise.
     
       I get updates and alerts on my phone on when the episodes are being updated online and when they will premier on television. so at the end of the week when I have some free time I go on my laptop and binge watch all the episodes that I've missed during the season. I enjoy binge watching because I get to watch the show that I enjoy exclusively back to back which catches me up on the current affairs and plots of the season. Its just watching things commercial free that I am more attracted to. I don't mind commercials on television but at times they can become annoying at times, I would more likely enjoy skipping through the unwanted ads.

#6 Global Trends (Programming, Streaming, Online, Social, or Gaming)


Nike





In my "Global Trends" analysis I decided to highlight the marketing strategy of the global brand "Nike" Nike has continued to evolve over the years in becoming one of the leaders of athletic apparel and shoes. Being that our generation has continued to evolve with technology and different medians, as brand Nike has continued to reach the specific demographics that has allowed the brand to thrive in different avenues over the years. We all know that competition helps any industry, because it allows all brands to push for the best products and apparel to be the most eye catching to consumers as well as create more of a demand for their products offered. Other brands such as Under Armor, and Adidas, have put the pressure on Nike to increase the marketing strategies of reaching the people because these competing brands have also followed the mold of Nike over the years by adopting the idea going after big name athletes as well as the social media avenue to promote their brand.

In this short clip, this going into the global marketing strategies of Nike by not just trying to sell products but on a global market they are marketing a feel, a certain self esteem, they are marketing dreams. This is important because when it comes to keeping the appeal of millennial as well as their traditional market they have also been expanding their medians because customers are not just watching television, the target demographic is majorly on their phone or wireless devices. By being able to reach potential customers online or on mobile devices, Nike has crossed over to having more YouTube videos, as well as ads during these online video websites to keep the attention of their targeted audience.
